I am an amateur artist working in oils, who moved to Norfolk recently upon retirement.
In Northamptonshire I belonged to a local art group for many years and have exhibited with them and in a number of other local exhibitions there, and here in Norfolk, including two entirely of my own work. I am now secretary of the King’s Lynn Art Club and a member of Art 21 in Dersingham.
My inspiration comes largely from the world of science and from nature at home and abroad. I have visited several exotic locations on Earthwatch expeditions such as Sri Lanka and Africa, or on holiday to Canada, China, Norway and Bulgaria. I particularly enjoy art of the Dutch School, the Impressionists and Surrealism. Since moving to North West Norfolk I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the art community here and keep finding new inspiration from this special part of Britain.
