Pen and watercolour
I originated many years ago from Spalding, Lincolnshire where I spent my early years before living in Kings Lynn in the early eighties and the North Norfolk coast. Finally I have settled contentedly in Downham Market, Norfolk. Art was my favourite subject at school and possibly the only one I excelled at, however, irrespective of my desire for an advancement in my artistic studies, life intervened and the opportunity did not arise. My love of art continued with pen and ink works of architecture and it was not until 2012 following heart attacks that I found the joys of working with oils and acrylics.
I have exhibited and sold works with Fine Arts America, Art Gallery UK, and Saatchi Gallery and have national print sales including USA, Afcria and New Zealand. In 2018 I became a member of Fine Art Guild.
In 2014 I suffered two strokes which seriously limited the period of time that I could work at my easel, my confidence was at it's lowest and was becoming disillusioned and disheartened with the future. I knew I needed an alternative to continue my love and passion to create art. After many frustrating months practising, experimenting, refining and perfecting, I am enjoying my digital studio equipped with more oils, acrylics, watercolours, brushes, pencils and equipment than I could ever amass in my wildest dreams, right at my finger tips, and without all the mess.
In the present day I enjoy creating my art for others to enjoy at affordable prices.
Art is all around us and we do not really see it. Also be it an artwork costing lots of money or for little money, and irrespective of who the artist is, if you enjoy looking at it.....hang it on the wall....
