Sunprint Photography Workshop

Sun-print Photography Workshop with Liz Murfitt
The most transitory of things, a shadow, the proverbial emblem of all that is fleeting and momentary, may be fettered by the spells of our natural magic, and may be fixed forever in the position which it seemed only destined for a single instant to occupy.
William Henry Fox Talbot

A sunprint is a photograph made without a camera, by placing objects on the light sensitive paper and exposing it to sunlight - a technique which dates back to the birth of photography. The resulting image is then fixed by chemical means.

Paper and chemicals will be provided but you will need to bring with you objects for your sunprints – plants work well (as in example) or small solid objects such as keys. You would also be advised to wear old clothes as any splashes of the chemical are likely to stain unless washed out immediately.
