Qualified teacher in further education (FAETC certificate) - taught for Leicestershire Education Authority from 1975.
Employed by Gadsbys of Leicester (art dealers, framers and restorers) to develop their art/graphics business in 1973.
Lectured and demonstrated artist's materials and techniques for Winsor & Newton and Daler-Rowney from 1975.
Moved into full-time teaching (painting and drawing) at Leicester High School for Girls in 1988 and taught to GCSE and A level. Retired in 1997 and relocated to Norfolk to paint in 2003.
Married with two sons, both involved in illustration. Other interests include music (jazz musician) cycling, fishing, guitar building and restoration.
