WNAA Events
Our autumn programme of monthly ArtExchange meetings
Having taken a summer break, the monthly ArtExchange meetings will recommence on Tuesday 21st September with something a little different! Tom Sharp will be encouraging you to take the first steps in sculpture with his Plasticine workshop, when you can have a go at making or moulding using this most basic material.
Tom will be able to give you some hints and tips, and will supply you with the necessary Plasticine. It promises to be a fun evening, so make a note for the diary now. 7.30pm Tuesday 21st September, in the Family Room at the Farmers Arms, Knights Hill, King's Lynn.
WNAA 2010 Annual General Meeting - Tuesday 19th October
The October ArtExchange meeting will also be the Annual General Meeting, where you can air your views on the events of the past year, and suggest where the WNAA might head to in the coming twelve months. It's important to be at the AGM, to see and hear what's going on and take the opportunity to make your views known. This year there is an excellent opportunity to influence the future direction of the Association, by joining the Committee. Several long-serving members will be standing down, so some fresh faces would be very welcome.
As this is our 10th Anniversary, we've decided to combine the AGM with a celebration buffet, which will take place before the main meeting. The event will be held at King's Lynn Arts Centre Galleries, King St, King's Lynn. The AGM will take place at 7.30pm Tuesday 19th October, in the Shakespeare Barn, as last year, with the buffet commencing at 6pm in one of the adjoining galleries. The buffet will be free to members, but we will need to know numbers in advance. More details will be in the September issue of Update.
Tuesdays and Thursdays from November onwards
Inevitably, there are some members who always do something else on a Tuesday evening, and thus cannot be at our ArtExchange meetings, which are normally held on the third Tuesday of the month. To address this we've decided that, beginning in November, the monthly meetings will alternate between Tuesdays and Thursdays.
This means that the November ArtExchange will be on Thursday 18th, and the December meeting will be on Tuesday 14th. Note that in December, the meeting is earlier in the month than usual, so that it's not too near Christmas. The events for these two meetings are being finalised now, and details will be posted here as soon as possible.
