Painter

A passion for painting has walked hand in hand with me throughout my life. Working mainly in watercolour over many years has only strengthened the love I feel for colour which coupled with a deep love and respect for nature fuels the inspiration for my art work.

To see white paper come alive flowing with colour, water and imagination is simply wonderful. Having recently begun to work with acrylics I am fascinated by its vibrancy and texture, the opposite of watercolour.

I work from home where I have a studio and small gallery 'The Phoenix' which I open by mutual arrangement. Expression takes many forms and after writing verse for my own amusement since childhood I am now trying to develop that side of me. I have written three small books combining word with illustration. Together with my wife Elizabeth we print and sell these ourselves. Titles are:

• Journey
• Piece of The Rainbow
• Jigsaw

For me painting is more than just a piece of art it is an expression of my inner being and I am blessed that it has also been my livelihood for the past 25 years. I look forward to the future with hope in my heart.
