Louise was born in Tydd, Cambridgeshire where she returned to in 1992 after several years away at college and work and a year travelling around the world. She now runs Skylark Studios in Tydd, an Art Gallery and workshop.
Louise gained a BA(hons) degree at Sheffield University before going on to complete a Postgraduate course in Printmaking at Camberwell School of Art in London.
Louise is a qualified teacher with several years experience teaching both adults and children.
Louise is primarily a Printmaker. Much of her work depicts nature including the Fens, exotic places she has visited. Her etchings are atmospheric, and her screenprints and linocuts bright and colourful.
She has exhibited extensively throughout the UK .
1999 Won the prestigious Best Print Award at the Eastern Open at Kings Lynn Arts Centre
2001 Won Prize in the Peterborough Open Exhibition.
2005 Won the title of “Artist of the Fens” at an exhibition in Spalding.
2006 Louise was included in the new edition of “The Dictionary of Artists in Britain Since 1945” by David Buckman.
